Team

Cross-institutional working group

Challenge

Three universities, one government partner and a shared conviction that the continent needed an innovation campus that was more than a real-estate play.

Context

Two capital cities, a five-year horizon and a governance table with as many opinions as members. The failure mode wasn't ambition — it was patience.

Thinking

A campus is not a building. It is a curriculum, a venture path, a governance model and a founder pipeline held together by a thesis the board can defend in public.

Approach

Wrote the five-year thesis. Designed the operating model, curriculum, venture path and partnership structure. Advised through year one of build.

Execution

Twelve months of governance work, three partner ventures incubated, and a founder pipeline recruited from four countries — all before the buildings opened.

Impact

A five-year roadmap the board defends, three partner ventures already launched, and a founder pipeline the region didn't have twelve months earlier.

The measure of an institution is what it can still do without the people who built it. That's the bar we set  and the bar it now clears.
